What To Expect During Installation
Cabinet Discounters offers a number of kitchen cabinetry lines to fit any style, need, or budget. Part of our process is to offer products that are Good, Better, Best, and Beyond. Kevin will walk you through the entire design process.
Stage 1: Preparing for installation
Before the installation team arrives, you’ll need to get your home ready for the work. Start by emptying all your cabinets. Take out dishes, utensils, and anything else stored in them. If you have things on your countertops or shelves, move those too.
To help the team work smoothly, make sure there are clear paths to where the new cabinets and countertops will go. You might need to move furniture or other items out of the way. Also, it’s smart to cover nearby surfaces to keep them safe from dust and debris during the installation.
Stage 2: Demo
During the demo stage, the old cabinets and countertops are taken down. First, the crew will remove the doors and drawers from the cabinets. Then, they’ll take out the cabinet boxes and countertops. They’ll be careful to avoid damaging the walls and floors, and usually put down tarps or plastic covers.
They will also remove any old fixtures, hardware, or appliances connected to the cabinets or countertops. This is important to make sure the new cabinets fit just right and the area is ready for the new ones.
Stage 3: Installation
The installation stage is where the transformation of your space begins. First, the carpenter, plumber, electrician, and other workers will do any needed prep work. This might involve making changes to the walls or adjusting plumbing and electrical systems for the new cabinets and countertops.
Once the prep work is done, the new cabinets, countertops, and moldings are carefully put in place. This means securing the cabinets to the walls, attaching the countertops, and fitting the moldings so everything looks smooth. After the main installation, the team will finish any plumbing or electrical work, like connecting sinks, faucets, and appliances.
If new flooring is part of the job, it will be installed now too. Finally, the team will do small tweaks or touch-ups to make sure everything is lined up correctly and working well.
Stage 4: Completion
With the installation complete, it’s time to enjoy your newly transformed space. Your home will be refreshed with new stylish cabinets and countertops. Take a moment to appreciate the updated look and functionality of your space.
Ensure that everything is working correctly, and that any final touches or adjustments are addressed. With your home looking great and all the work done, you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the results of your new cabinetry.
